I’m an equal opportunity inspiratoinalist

There are some colors that can not be found in nature and must be synthesized. The fact that there is someone out there who understands chemistry well enough to create a color from the combination of elements completely blows me away. I don’t understand how it all works, but am grateful that people exist who are able to because I love color so much.

Cooking is very much the same way. I may be able to appreciate good food, but I do not possess the skills required to be a chef – understanding how to achieve flavor combinations through various processes involved in ingredient selection and preparation is beyond my capabilities. I may never understand it well enough to do it myself, but I’m grateful for people who live for it because good-tasting food is a fantastic experience.

Music is what inspires me, and while I feel very adept at determining what is successful and unsuccessful music, I must admit that my brain doesn’t work in the ways necessary to make anything worth listening to. However, I owe my life to everyone who has made the tracks that have helped me become who I am. Likewise with every other artist who has helped create a world worth exploring and being excited to be a part of.

What I hope to do through my photography is design images (with whatever materials I have at my disposal) that can help incite the same feeling that I get when I listen to a piece of inspirational music. I know that other people find inspiration outside of their art, too… so maybe I can help inspire another person in the same obscure, indescribable way that music affects me.

It isn’t about fame or fortune – it’s about the irreplaceable high I experience using what I love to help other people find love in what they do, whatever that might be.
